Kathryn Moore Baker (Swarthmore High School, 1983) has been named to a four-year term as a member of the Executive Board of Norges Bank, the Central Bank of Norway.
Kathryn, the daughter of Art and Margie Baker, now of White Horse Village in Newtown Square, is the first non-Norwegian to serve on the board.
Like the Federal Reserve Bank in the U.S., Norges Bank is responsible for setting monetary policy, and also oversees the Norwegian sovereign wealth fund.
Kathryn, an alumna of Wellesley College, earned an MBA from Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College in 1993 and has lived in Norway since. She is a private investor and a board member of several companies listed on the Oslo and Stockholm stock exchanges.
Kimberly Shelton of Swarthmore was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. Kimberly is pursuing a degree in chemical engineering at Pennsylvania State University.
Timothy McCullough of Rose Valley has been named to the York College of Pennsylvania Kappa Delta Pi, International Honor Society in Education.
