Fifty members of the Chester Children’s Chorus will present a concert this Saturday evening, October 22, at Main Line Unitarian Church, 816 South Valley Forge Road in Devon. The concert begins at 7 p.m.
Reverend Neal Jones welcomed back the CCC, which sang at the church’s Black Lives Matter banner dedication on September 10.
The chorus will perform a program of classical music, gospel numbers, and jazz, arranged and directed by founder Dr. John Alston. Boys and girls from the Chester Upland school district, 8 to 18 years old, are auditioned in the spring and participate in a year-round music education and academic enrichment program.
The concert is free and open to the public; a free will offering will be taken to support the chorus program. More information is available at www.chesterchildrenschorus.org, and (610) 328-8286.
