Encaustics are Focus of CAC Retrospective

A selected retrospective exhibition of the works of Philadelphia encaustic artist Dale O. Roberts, including “Lambertville Station,” encaustic painting, 42 x 36, will be on view in the Duke Gallery at Community Arts Center, February 6 through March 11. See calendar listing under Exhibits.

It’s a busy winter for Philadelphia artist Dale O. Roberts. A retrospective exhibition of his works in the ancient medium of encaustic painting opens this Saturday at the Community Arts Center, 414 Plush Mill Road in Wallingford. Roberts also has a solo show “Interpretations” opening at Gross-McCleaf Gallery on March 2.

The Roberts exhibition at CAC continues from Saturday, February 6, through March 11, as do simultaneous exhibitions at CAC of oil paintings by Cynthia Murray, ceramics by instructor Effie Brenner, and works by the CAC Advanced Watercolor Studio. Artists’ receptions will be held Sunday, February 21, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.; shows and receptions are free and open to the public.
