Do your garden dreams sometimes crash and burn because your garden is just too shady for the colorful plants you covet? Or is your sunny garden lacking a dramatic focus? Solutions await you at the “Blooms or Bust!” plant sale held by the Swarthmore Horticultural Society on Saturday, May 13.
This year’s sale will feature more than 25 varieties of unusual (but easy to grow) summer blooming plants — both annuals and perennials — with an array of selections to enhance any garden, whether sunny, shady, or in between. Want a swath of color in a shady corner? Or how about adding some garden glitz with flame-colored vines, golden ferns, or dramatic midnight blue salvia? The SHS sale has the plants to make your garden dreams a reality. The sale begins at 9 a.m., at Centennial Park (corner of Dartmouth & Park avenues) in Swarthmore. Full details of the sale are at swarthmorehorticulturalsociety.org.
So dream big this year, and fill your 2017 garden with color and surprise at the SHS “Blooms or Bust” sale.
