The Strath Haven boys lacrosse team hosted the fourth annual Play for the A’s event, raising funds in support of the battle against Alzheimer’s disease.
The event raised $9,169 this year, with donations still funneling in, bringing the four-year total to more than $25,000, with the Delaware Valley Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association receiving 100% of the funds.
Eight teams participated in the event, with Haven and Radnor youth lacrosse kicking off the festivities. Springfield and Interboro varsity teams also competed, along with the Strath Haven and Hershey high schools’ JV squads.
The final game of the day featured two unbeaten varsity squads in Strath Haven and Hershey, and while the Panthers came out on top by a score of 10-2, Play for the A’s was a win for everyone who has been touched by this deadly disease.
