What is the role of parents in helping teens deal with the mental and emotional stress that is so prevalent today? Find out how you can help, in a free forum at the Unitarian Universalist Church this Sunday evening, open to all parents and guardians of teens.
This event will be facilitated by Lori Rice-Spring (Strath Haven parent and Penncrest guidance counselor) and Amy Fantalis (Strath Haven parent and local therapist specializing in adolescents). They will address various topics, ranging from family dynamics and the atmosphere at home, to knowing the difference between normal teen angst from troubling mental health issues. A detailed agenda is at uucdc.org/calendar/positive-parenting-teens.
The session takes place Sunday, February 21, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Delaware County, 145 W. Rose Tree Rd., Media.
There is no charge, but do RSVP with the church office at (610) 566-4853 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
