May Fair at Furness Library Next Saturday; Book Sale Continues through May 10

The annual May Fair will be held Saturday, May 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Helen Kate Furness Free Library in Wallingford.

Kids of all ages will enjoy a parking lot-ful of games and contests. Shopping for Mother’s Day? Check out the assortment of plants in hanging baskets. Antique buffs and thrifty shoppers will find good stuff at great prices in Attic Treasures and jewelry sales.

Home baked treats vie with fresh-grilled burgers and hot dogs for space in your stomach.

Book mavens, browse starting Saturday through more than 6,000 titles, ranging from fiction, cookbooks, mysteries and art to gardening, history, rare titles and children’s books.

Books will continue to be sold at daily-decreasing prices through Tuesday, May 10.

Those driving are strongly encouraged to park at the Wallingford Train Station and walk up the path just across the tracks from the station.
