The annual Members’ Exhibition at the Community Arts Center opens this Sunday, July 24, with a wine and cheese reception, awards, and a lecture by Michelle Rothwell. The event begins at 2 p.m. in the Duke Gallery at CAC.
Artists working in many media, and at all stages of their careers will exhibit their work in this expansive show. Juried awards will be presented to top works in each medium, with a cash award for Best in Show. Following the awards, Michelle Rothwell will speak in the Ballroom on “Why We Need a New Model for Creativity,” exploring the subject of holistic creativity.
Also opening that day is an exhibit of ceramic masks by Justin Benn in the BeaDazzle Gallery. The exhibits will remain in place through August 26.
The reception is free and open to the public, including nonmembers of CAC. Community Arts Center is at 414 Plush Mill Road in Wallingford.
