Readers in Wallingford, Rose Valley and Media: did you know that the Presidential primary is not the only election being held on Tuesday, April 26? You can, and should, also vote in the special election to choose your Pennsylvania Senator for District 9, to fill a seat that has been empty since last November’s elections.
Voting takes place at the same locations and times as the primary, but in the special election, voters will be choosing between candidates from two parties, with the winner immediately taking office.
Candidates Tom Killion (Republican) and Marty Molloy (Democrat) will participate in a one-hour forum and debate, this Sunday, April 17, 2:30 p.m. at the Towne Hall of Riddle Village, 1048 W. Baltimore Pike in Media (just east of Riddle Memorial Hospital.)
The Leagues of Women Voters of Delaware and Chester counties host the program, which will not be repeated or televised. Guests who wish to submit questions should come earlier than the 2:30 p.m. start time.
