Swarthmore College Sets Deer Hunt Dates

For the seventh consecutive year, Swarthmore College will conduct a public archery hunt of the deer population in the College’s Crum Woods.

This year’s hunt will occur in the woods during the College’s fall and Thanksgiving breaks (October 7-15 and November 23-26), and also in early November. Signs will be clearly posted in the woods to indicate active approved hunting areas and times.

Hunters will be active mainly in the early morning and late afternoon and evening hours. If you encounter any problems, please call Swarthmore Public Safety at (610) 328-8333.

More information about the College’s deer population management is available on the Crum Woods Stewardship website at swarthmore.edu/crum-woods-stewardship-committee/frequently-asked-questions.
