We are looking forward to a great season at Swarthmore Swim Club this summer. We had an incredible turnout for our Memorial Day weekend opener, and wonderful weather as well.
We are excited to introduce some of the pool’s newest features. A gaga pit (a fun version of dodgeball) has been installed by the playground area, as well as a brand new swing set for our littlest members. Our beautiful Shark Shack (new last year) now offers weekly new items — “Mozzarella Stick Monday,” “Walking Taco Tuesday,” “You’re a Weiner Wednesday,” and “Freaky Friday” (varying from sliders, to pizza, to Chick-fil-A).
The pool will host various events throughout the summer, such as Sunday afternoon tournaments, pancake breakfasts, trivia nights, and movie nights. Our classic favorites — raft night, dollar dogs, water aerobics, and Fourth of July festivities — will also be in full swing.
Our regular season will begin on Monday, June 20; hours will be 10:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 12 noon to 8:30 p.m. on Sundays. Revielle Club will be weekdays from 6:30 a.m. to 9 a.m., with water aerobics beginning at 9 a.m. on Mondays through Thursdays.
Swarthmore Swim Club is devoted to making sure our kids can swim, so we will be offering free group lessons for the summer with beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels, all starting at 12:30 p.m. on weekdays. Group lesson sign-ups will be held on Saturday, June 11, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Send a representative for your family if you are unable to attend. Sign-ups will follow a lottery system.
We hope you are excited to kick off the summer. Grab your sun lotion and your towel; we’ll see you at the pool!
