MEETING SECRETARY: P-T Position Available, January 2018. Swarthmore (Quaker) Monthly Meeting seeks a part-time Meeting Secretary to provide administrative support to the Clerk of Meeting and the Meeting committees. He/She serves as a liaison between the Meeting and outside groups and has primary responsibility for communications within the Meeting community, including the Newsletter, Tuesday news, and announcements for rise of Meeting. The Secretary must be able to work effectively without close supervision. Necessary computer skills include proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Word and Excel), Google, and QuickBooks Online. Applicant should have an undergraduate degree or equivalent experience and a basic understanding of contemporary Quaker practice as it pertains to committees, communications and functions of this position. The position is 20-hours a week, with some benefits.
