Entries Due for ‘Celebrate Swarthmore Artists’ Exhibition

Artists age 18 or older who live in the Wallingford-Swarthmore School District (including Swarthmore College students), are invited to participate in the 23rd Annual Swarthmore Artists Exhibition, to be held at Swarthmore Borough Hall throughout the month of June. Completed entry forms are due by Monday, May 27, and work to be exhibited will be accepted Monday, June 3, from 6 to 7 p.m.

One or two pieces of original work, in any medium (except photography) which has not previously been exhibited in Swarthmore Friends of the Arts shows at Borough Hall, may be submitted. Work intended for hanging must be framed or matted and wired for hanging. Work that is not designed to hang on a wall will be included in the exhibit only if it can be safely displayed within the available exhibit space.

The entry form is available on the Swarthmore Friends of the Arts website. A contribution of $5 (cash or check made out to Swarthmore Friends of the Arts) per piece is requested toward exhibition costs including the artists’ reception. Please bring fee with you when you deliver your artwork for the show. Questions about the suitability of a particular work for the exhibit, or to arrange for delivery of artwork at a time other than specified above, should be directed to Martha Perkins at 484-574-3158 or martha.perkins@gmail.com.

The Artists’ Reception will be Friday, June 7, from 6 to 8 p.m. and is free and open to the public. Sales of any works exhibited in the show will be arranged by SFOA, which receives a commission of 10% on any sale resulting from the exhibit.
