Barbara Park’s bestselling books form the basis of Junie B. Jones the Musical, which will be performed at the Players Club of Swarthmore from October 5-13.
This latest entry in the PCS Children Series tells the story of precocious Junie, who chronicles her revelations and adventures in her own top-secret journal as she and her friends step up from kindergarten to 1st grade. Junie and classmates are played by talented performers from the area. The show is directed by Meg Cranney, who also choreographed; Alyssa Cherewaty is music director.
Opening on Saturday, October 5, the show will be performed at 5 p.m. Saturday, 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Sunday at the second stage above the lobby at the Players Club, 614 Fairview Rd.
After each show, the actors will mix and mingle with the audience in the lobby. Tickets are available at the door or through the Players Club website.
