November 16-29

In this two-week period, the ambulance responded to 37 calls for medical assistance, to Swarthmore, Rutledge, Morton, Springfield, Nether Providence Township, and Ridley Township. The calls were for a variety of emergencies, including respiratory emergency, head injury, seizures, cardiac arrest, and hypotension (COVID-19).  

In addition, the fire company responded to: 

  • One structure fire on the 600 block of W. Brookhaven Road in Nether Providence Township (smoke in a bedroom).

  • One automobile alarm at the intersection of Providence Road and Bullens Lane in Nether Providence Township for an accident with injuries.

  • Six automatic fire alarms.

  • Three hazmat alarms.

  • One alarm on the 700 block of Harvard Avenue in Swarthmore for a smoke investigation.

  • Eight mutual aid calls to Morton, Springfield Township, and Nether Providence Township.
