Delco Summer Festival Begins Next Week

Delaware County begins its 45th annual summer festival next week on Wednesday, June 12, with a performance by the Delaware County Symphony. The Fabulous Grease Band performs the following night, and thus begins a two month long series of shows Wednesday through Sunday nights with several daytime performances as well.

The stage and band shell at Rose Tree Park on route 252 in Media hosts acts ranging from children’s concerts to pop music, jazz and soul, tribute bands, and local and national favorites. Admission is always free to the shows, which begin at 7:30, weather permitting. Concertgoers are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets for picnicking, and can carry in food and drink (but not alcohol) or buy snacks and meals from concessions on site.
