Swarthmore community members are invited to submit their vote for the final selection in the first virtual One Book, One Swarthmore community reading program. Virtual events will be held between May 1 and May 15.

The theme for this year’s program is “Coming Together While We Are Apart.” We are living in unusual times and need to connect with our community now more than ever.

Vote for one of the following novels:

  • “These Ghosts Are Family” by Maisy Card

  • “The Overstory” by Richard Powers

  • “Love in the Time of Cholera” by Gabriel Garcia Marquez

  • “Homegoing” by Yaa Gyasi

Deadline: April 17

One Book, One Swarthmore promotes literacy and community dialogue by encouraging Swarthmore to come together through reading and discussing a single book. Visit swarthmorepubliclibrary.org for more information. Winning titles and the virtual program lineup will be announced no later than April 20.
