After months of pandemic hibernation, Swarthmore Friends of the Arts will open its first exhibition of 2021 on Tuesday, June 15, in Swarthmore Borough Hall. There and Back Again is a collection of artworks by Friends of the Arts board members Martha Perkins, Michele Southworth, Skip Gosnell, Lora Lavin, Megan Lee, and Alicia Ruley-Nock. They include acrylics, oils, and mixed media, and have varying textures, colors, and designs.

In connection with the exhibition, the public is invited to attend an outdoor artists’ reception on the Borough Hall lawn on Thursday, June 17, from 6 to 8 p.m., as part of Swarthmore Town Center’s “Nights in the Ville.” The exhibition and reception are free and child friendly. Complimentary beverages and hors d’oeuvres will be served.

There and Back Again will be on view from June 15 through July 30. Hours: Mondays through Thursdays, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Fridays, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and Sundays, 1 to 5 p.m. Swarthmore Borough Hall is located at 121 Park Ave.

For more information about the exhibition or Swarthmore Friends of the Arts, visit their website or contact Skip Gosnell, publicity chair, at 484-343-2728 or skipgosnellart@gmail.com.
