Police responded to 13 medical emergencies, assisting medics and the Swarthmore ambulance.

Other

The Swarthmore Borough Police Department remains fully active and functional. They respond to all calls for service, and the health of the department staff is good. Residents are asked to adhere to the Pennsylvania governor’s recommendations of safe distancing and staying at home if possible. Residents are also reminded that Borough Hall is closed. Those wishing to contact the police department should dial 911 to speak with an officer.  

Residents are warned of potential phone and email scams during this emergency and should not give personal information to anyone who calls or emails. Anyone who has a question about a suspicious call or email should contact the police department.
