Accidents

  • January 11: A car backing out of an angled parking space in the 100 block of Park Avenue collided with a car travelling south. Both cars sustained minor damage but could be driven from the scene. No one was hurt.

  • January 5: A car driving west on Yale Avenue pulled into the intersection of South Chester Road to turn left. While waiting to turn, it was struck by a car driving north on South Chester Road. The driver of the first car stated that their light was green at the time of the accident. Later investigation revealed that the license of the driver of the second car had been suspended. Both cars had to be towed. No one was hurt.

Alarms

Police responded to nine alarm calls, including fire alarms, panic alarms, and false burglar alarms.

Medical Emergencies

Police responded to 12 medical emergencies, assisting medics and the Swarthmore ambulance.
