Come enjoy a story and song event for children, Let’s Tour the World, with author Theresa Lynn and guitar player and singer Fiona Eve Murray, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 31, at Little Crum Creek in Swarthmore. Lynn will read aloud her just-published children’s book about a young boy who imagines all the places he might go for summer vacation, and Murray will lead children in musical games and singing. Parents or caregivers should bring a blanket to spread out on the grass for a fun morning. Children may want to bring their favorite transportation-themed toy, since the book talks about the different ways that people travel. The rain date for this event is Saturday, August 7, at 11 a.m.

Theresa Lynn is a Reading Title 1 teacher for Catapult Learning. She holds a bachelor’s degree in K-6 elementary education from Holy Family University, and a Masters of Education in curriculum, instruction, and assessment from Cabrini University. She has taught elementary education for 27 years, and also enjoys writing children’s poetry. Let’s Tour the World: A Globe Adventure, her first book, was published by Fulton Books. You can view it at https://fultonbooks.com/books/?book=lets-tour-the-world. (Copies will not be sold at this event, but Let’s Tour the World is available for purchase on Amazon and the author will be happy to sign copies that day.) Lynn is a resident of Aldan.
